It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 12th annual meeting of the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco, Europe. This year the conference is being held jointly with the UK Centre for Tobacco Control Studies, a UK Clinical Research Collaboration centre for public health research excellence that includes tobacco control researchers in nine UK universities. The theme for the conference is "Translating Science to Policy" in recognition of the unique opportunity that the meeting provides for researchers and practitioners from a range of disciplines, from basic sciene to applied policy research, to come together to examine new ways of understanding nicotine addiction and addressing the harm caused by tobacco. We are delighted to welcome over 400 delegates to this year's conference from across the world. We hope that you will enjoy the conference and take the opportunity to explore the city of Bath, a beautiful and historic setting that has been designated UNESCO world heritage site. |
